This high-prestige product is made by selecting the best grapes grown on the hillsides in the historic Valpolicella Classico area. Its dry and well-balanced mouth is matched by an intense yet clear and bright ruby red colour.
An excellent accompaniment for white, red and game meats.
"La Tonega" Valpolicella Ripasso is the flagship of the Cesare Righetti wine cellar and takes its name from the type of land where the grapes are grown. “Tonega” in the local Veneto dialect also means “priest's cassock” - because, as everyone well knows, when priests say mass they always sip good wine.

Made with grapes harvested in early October and left to dry until February. Fermentation is controlled in order to retain the sugar content.
While Recioto boasts an agreeable, sweet flavour, it also has an intense garnet red colour matched by a very complex bouquet of pink flowers, violets, plum jam and wild fruit.
It is an ideal accompaniment for all dry pastry desserts and excels with dark chocolate.

Amarone della Valpolicella

This wine is made by harvesting only the best grapes from vineyards exclusively in hillside locations which are then dried on racks at a controlled temperature.
The grapes are dried. They are then pressed, fermented and refined in oak barrels to ensure the classic, renowned ageing typical of Amarone.
This is a robust, full-bodied wine. Its bouquet recalls black cherry liqueur and liquorice. Excellent with roasts and game, ideal with mature and/or piquant cheese. It is advisable to pull the cork a few hours before serving.
